SWISS CHALET
There is no greater place to be than at Swiss Chalet with my second Family. I have been working at Swiss Chalet for 6 and a half years now. I am a server and loving it. The reason I decided to talk about my work is because it is the main reason I am able to afford school along with help from the government of course. As for the sharing bag activity I did with my class I chose to use a swiss chalet bag to carry my chosen items to class. Swiss chalet was my first and only job. I have never worked anywhere else and I was lucky enough to get the job without a resume. I was hired on the spot. Over the past 6 and a half years I have become close with many of the staff. The friendships I have made over the years have really shaped my life. I think working at Swiss Chalet has been a great experience for me. I think it has in a way prepped me for teaching. This work experience has prepped me to work well with others and how to appropriately deal with customers especially children.
I believe this because of all the experiences I encounter on a daily basis. I am constantly surrounded by families. I have had so many compliments that I am great with children. Children are my life. I cant wait to have my own kids one day and my own classroom. I want to make a difference in the lives of children. I want them to be able to come back to me years from now and thank me for helping them out. I have appreciated all the work my teachers have done for me. I went back to my elementary school to volunteer and was happy to see some of the teachers I had were still there. I thanked them and told them they were the reason why I wanted to go into teaching. I would love to have my future students come back to me 10 years down the road and say the same thing. Just as swiss chalet is my second family my future students will be too. Which ever school I get a full time position at will be a new home with new people to call my family.
